But it was a pity that Prabu and his queen hadn't got any children. The ruler often bawled. That was why Prabu went to the jungle. There he prayed to God every day, begging for a couple of months later, the ruler got with child. Nine months subsequent, a princess was born. Prabu and ruler loved their beautiful female child so much. They provided whatever she liked. It made Princess turn into a very ruined day, the princess commemorated her 17th anniversary party. Many persons accumulated in the castle. Then, Prabu took out a necklace which was made from gold and jewel."My beloved daughter, today I give you this necklace. Please, wear this necklace," said Text -Telaga warna"I don't want to wear it! It's ugly!" yelled the princess. Then she chucked the necklace. The attractive necklace was broken. The gold and jewels were disperse out on the floor. Everybody couldn't say any thing. They not ever considered that their beloved princess would do that fiendish thing. In their silence, persons perceived the queen bawling. Every woman felt miserable and started bawling, too. Then, everyone was bawling. Then, there was a miracle. Earth was from the below ground, a spring emerged. It made a pool of water. Soon, the location became a big lagoon. The lagoon finally sank the people called the lagoon "Telaga Warna". It means "Lake of Color". On a bright day, the lagoon is full of hue. These colors come from shaded of plantation, plants, blossoms, and atmosphere around the lake. But some persons said that the colors are from the princess's necklace, which disperses at the bottom of the lake.

Soonthe place became a big lake. The lake sank all of the kingdom. Nowadays the water on that lake is not as full as before. There is only a small lake now. People called the lake "Talaga Warna". It is mean "Lake of Colour". It's located in Puncak, West Java. On a bright day, the lake is full of colour. So beautiful and amazing.

It’s not that we don’t love you, but what will people think if you go through with your plan?” said the king. The princess is shocked to hear that. So she runs to her room to get her jewelry box. Then she returns to her parents. She screams “You are so miserly. Here, I am returning the every single jewelry you ever gave me.” She throes her jewelry box to her father. The wise king is outraged seeing his daughter did. “You are ungrateful daughter!” Suddenly, the floor of the palace erupts and water pours out from the crack. In a matter of second the palace if flooded, drowning the ungrateful princess and her jewelry. The palace then replace by a lake. The lake always reflects multiple colors to its surrounding. Some say the colors come from the princess’s jewelry. The lake is known as Telaga Warna that means colorful lake.

They felt something was missing since they had been married for a long time, but they still didn’t have any children. The king and queen never considered adoption. They insisted that their happiness would be completed by having their own day the king decided to meditate praying to the Almighty to grant him children. Finally, his wish was granted. The queen gave birth to a daughter. They named her Nyi Ajeng Gilang Rukmini Princess Ayu Kencana Ungu. Her parents were ecstatic, they arranged a huge party to celebrate the birth of the princess. All of the people in the kingdom are invited. They partied three days and princess grew up to be a very beautiful lady. Her parents and all of the kingdom loved her so much. Unfortunately, they showed their love by spoiling her. Anything the princess wanted, she got it. Her favorite pastime was wearing beautiful, priceless jewelry. She was never satisfied with her collections, she kept asking for more. She would get angry and sulking when people didn’t do what she asked. So, in the end, everybody especially her parents always granted her went by until the day the princess reached her seventeenth birthday. By then she was spoiled rotten. The king arranged another huge party for the whole kingdom to celebrate it. The people decided to collectively set aside many precious stones and metals to create a beautiful necklace for their beautiful princess. At the birthday celebration, people from all over the kingdom gathered in the capital square. The royal family stepped up to the podium in the middle of the square. Then, the representative of the people presented the beautiful necklace as their birthday gift. But when the princess opened the box, everybody was surprised to see her frowned. As soon as the king asked her to put on the necklace, her face was distorted with rage. In her opinion it was a tacky necklace, so she threw it to the floor until it was shattered. Saddened by how her ungrateful daughter treated them all, the queen cried gravely. One by one the people cried too. Suddenly, a spring emerged on the ground. The stream never let up until the kingdom was drowned. Eventually, it became a lake. People called it Telaga Warna since the color of the lake kept changing. Then she brought them to the goldsmith. “Please make a beautiful necklace for my daughter,” said Prabu. “My pleasure, Your Majesty,” the goldsmith replied. The goldsmith worked with all his heart and his ability. He wanted to create the most beautiful necklace in the world because he loved his princess. The birthday came. People gathered in the palace field. When Prabu and queen appeared, people welcomed them happily. Prabu and his wife waved to their beloved people.
